The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces on Friday, September 2, 2011, that 125 out of 249 passed the Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination given by the Board of Guidance and Counseling in Manila last August 2011 and 4 applicants were approved for registration without examination as Guidance Counselors in accordance with the provisions of R.A. No. 8981, cited as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2004”, Section 14, Article III of Republic Act No. 9258, known as the “Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004”, and Section 14, Rule III of Resolution No. 02, Series of 2007, known as the “Rules and Regulations of the Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004”, and per Board Resolution No. 03 dated September 1, 2011, Series of 2011. The members of the Board of Guidance and Counseling are Dr. Luzviminda S. Guzman, Chairman; Dr. Elena V. Morada and Dr. Carmelita P. Pabiton, Members.
