Amy Winehouse's goddaughter performs at UK fest (AP)

EASTNOR CASTLE DEER PARK, England – Amy Winehouse's 15-year-old goddaughter performed an outstanding set at the Big Chill music festival, mirroring her late mentor by closing her show with a cover of Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game."

Dionne Bromfield got teary-eyed when she performed the song, barely able to sing its last few words, though the crowd cheered her on.

"She was an amazing singer," Bromfield said. "She was not only my godmother, but she was my mentor and my boss as well."

The big-voiced singer sang with ease during her 30-minute performance on Saturday, the second day of the U.K. music festival.

Bromfield was a reminder of Winehouse: She stood close to the mic while belting lyrics, with her big hair and tiny build.

She was backed by a 5-piece band and dancers, performing songs from her two albums and singing mainly about boys and relationship troubles.

Her scratchy voice was top-notch as she sang soul songs with pop flavors, especially on the old-school sounding "Remember Our Love" and the up-tempo "Yeah Right." She also performed covers of Cee Lo Green's smash "Forget You" "and the Shirelles' "Mama Said," Bromfield's first single.

Winehouse, who had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, was found dead of unknown causes at her London home on July 23.

Bromfield is signed to Winehouse's label, Lioness Records.

An enthusiastic Coldplay performs for London crowd (AP)

LONDON – Red lights beamed and green lasers shot across the room. Pink, purple, green and yellow colors shined in a windmill-like fixture. And huge balloons dropped from the air and multicolored confetti burst from the sides of the stage.

It was psychedelic and colorful — two words that also described Chris Martin's demeanor Friday night.

The Coldplay singer led the English foursome as they played more than a dozen songs at the Roundhouse in London's Camden Town.

An enthusiastic Martin switched from electric to acoustic guitar and then to the piano throughout the night, jumping around the stage in sneakers and rubbing his head after he finished a song.

"I love your makeup," he yelled to one girl after singing "Shiver," one of the band's first songs.

Coldplay — who has released four multiplatinum albums and has a fifth planned for this year — performed for hundreds as part of the iTunes' free music festival.

"For 12 years, we had to give away tickets, and nothing's changed," Martin joked. "We still have to give away things for free."

On the piano, Martin was most focused, towering over it like a mad scientist on tunes like "Politik" and a new song with a piano groove that the band had never played before and "might not play it anywhere else."

He was vocally top-notch on fan favorites like "Yellow" and "Viva la Vida," where the crowd continued to belt its addictive hook of "Ohhh's" until the band returned for an encore. They closed the show with timeless tracks like "Speed of Sound" and "Fix You." Then they performed their latest song, "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall."

But it was the sound of "Ohhhhh Ohhh Ohhh" from "Viva la Vida" that really ended the night as concertgoers continued to sing it as they exited.

Bruce Springsteen performs at NJ Clemons tribute (AP)

ASBURY PARK, N.J. – Bruce Springsteen returned to his musical roots to remember a friend.

Springsteen performed a 45-minute set during a "Tribute to the Late, Great Clarence Clemons" at Asbury Park's Wonder Bar Sunday night.

Clemons and Springsteen were friends for more than four decades.

Springsteen joined J.T. Bowen, who was the lead singer of Clemons' band in the 1980s, The Red Bank Rockers. Bowen was singing with The Soul Cruisers when he called Springsteen to the stage.

The Star-Ledger of Newark reports Springsteen kicked things off with "Action in the Streets."

The set ended with a long version of "634-5789."

The E Street Band saxophonist, who was known as the Big Man, died of stroke complications on June 18. He was 69.
