: RAMALLAH, September 5, 2011 (WAFA) – Director of the Jordanian Representative Office to the Palestinian Territory, Awwad Sarhan, Monday affirmed Jordan’s full support of the Palestinian bid to United Nations.
Sarhan said that “Jordan’s interest lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state; a stance that will be performed based on terms agreed upon by the Palestinian and Jordanian sides.”
He pointed out that King Abdullah had previously warned that the peace process is heading to a dangerous point; which will increase tension and violence in the region.
Sarhan called on the international community to remove any obstacles facing Palestinian-Israeli negotiations in order to achieve fair and just solution to end the conflict in the region.
He finally affirmed the strong relationship between Palestine and Jordan, saying that “what serves Palestine, serves Jordan.”
